Sarah Visser, also known as "Sarah the Aerialist," is a distinguished Canadian circus artist renowned for specializing in aerial arts and ground acrobatics. Her remarkable journey began in the realm of competitive gymnastics and has since evolved into a dazzling career in the circus arts.
Sarah's gymnastics background, which includes coaching all levels from baby gymnastics to competitive levels, served as the foundation for her career as a circus coach. Her gymnastics experience also extends to judging gymnastic competitions, including provincials, throughout Alberta.
Having previously worked as a registered massage therapist, Sarah brings a deep understanding of anatomy and body mechanics to her coaching and performance endeavors. Beyond gymnastics, Sarah has explored diverse movement disciplines, including acro dance, jazz dance, yoga, and fitness training, further enriching her knowledge.
Since 2018, Sarah has been sharing her circus knowledge with the world, coaching and conducting workshops at various establishments in Alberta and Québec, such as Firefly Theatre and Circus, Trapéze Le Voltigeur, Milan Pole Dance, Trapezium Le Château De Cirque, and Circofit.
Sarah’s exceptional organizational skills are exemplified by her successful establishment and direction of a circus program for kids at Circofit in Edmonton, AB. Her dedication, coupled with her extensive experience and expertise, makes her an invaluable coach and mentor, inspiring the next generation of circus artists to reach new heights.
